Many people out on the web are wondering how to actually see the Ashley Madison data. I’m going to write up a quick post on how to get to it.
The data is only accessible via the Deep Web. To get to it you will need Tor Browser. Download it here.
Once you have that installed, put in this url:
https://yuc3i3hat65rpl7t.onion.to/stuff/impact-team-ashley-release.html
You will then see this:
Click on “Torrent for the released data.”
If you do not have BitTorrent installed download it, and then drag the torrent file into BitTorrent. You are now downloading all the Ashley Madison leaked data! (WARNING: THIS IS 9GB WORTH OF DATA SO IT WILL TAKE AWHILE).
Most people aren’t even on the dark web so this is a non-story. If it had been leaked to the mainstream internet or media then it would be a big deal.
Everyone can get on the Dark Web with a little research on google. The torrent will be available publicly in a matter of hours. Be on the lookout for the “Ashley Madison Breakup Night” this weekend at a local bar near you!

Loads of people use the dark web- but I’m guessing the biggest use of TOR is actually to circumvent ISP level blocks on the likes of the Pirate Bay (and similar websites). There may be a few million extra users of TOR after the Ashley Maddison mess though! There actually aren’t all that many websites live on the dark web at any time- contrary to what most people imagine- its just a damn good way of anonymising web browsing.
Don’t seem to be many people seeding the Ashley Maddison torrent- I’d have thought it would have gotten a few more seeders as the day went on. I’ll dedicate 5Mb upload to it overnight.
How do you view dump files?
Change the file type from .dump to .csv and open with Excel. (also try dumping the .dump file into Firefox.)
